Working with a niche engineering company who specialise within legacy aircraft restoration. The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining the organization's documents, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with internal and external regulations. As a The Document Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the document lifecycle, from creation to archival, ensuring that all documents are up to date, version-controlled, and properly distributed.
Key Responsibilities of Document Controller
- To take historical drawings and instructions, tidy them up in Photoshop and turn them into up-to-date documents
- Day to day project management of ADS reporting to Line Manager
- Manage the document approval process, including reviewing, revising, and tracking changes.
- Oversight and maintenance of the teams ADS status matrices
- You will provide highly effective administrative support to the design teams within the business and undertake delegated duties as required.
- Co-ordinate MO ADS status via MO manager
- ADS quality checking and approval for print or publish
- Maintain document confidentiality and security by implementing appropriate access control.
- Ensure all documents are properly versioned and reflect the most up-to-date information.
- Track document revisions, updates, and approvals to prevent errors and redundancy.
- Maintain an audit trail of document changes and approvals for compliance and tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Be point of contact for any HR matters at the Stonehouse office
Qualifications & Experience of Document Controller
- Previous Document Controller or technical author or technical administration experience
- Photoshop experience
- Highly proficient IT skills including competence in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
