  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production lines in a factory site Process and Packaging environment. Their job combines machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and process improvement to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing.

Your Role - Technical Production Operator - Dat Shifts

As a Technical Operator / Production Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the production line runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your main responsibilities include

  • Maintain, operate, and improve manufacturing processes
  • Carrying out machine changeovers and tooling adjustments
  • Driving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and production performance
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Operating Machinery that process, convert and make materials
  • Running automated or semi-automated machines
  • Adjusting machine settings to maintain product quality
  • Monitoring performance to ensure smooth operation
  • Diagnosing and fixing minor mechanical or technical faults
  • Reporting more complex issues to the engineering team
  • Line Changeovers & Setup
  • Ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
  • Checking finished products for defects
  • Ensuring all processes meet health, safety, and quality standards
  • Recording data on performance and quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas to improve speed, efficiency, and waste reduction

Role Requirements & Skills - Technical Production Operator - Dayshifts

  • Experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment (Manufacturing, food, packaging automotive, chemicals, or similar)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude – hands-on with machines and equipment
  • A problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in engineering/mechanics is a plus
  • Mechanically minded individuals who enjoy hands-on work
  • Problem solvers who can think quickly on their feet
