Position Production Supervisor
Location: Gloucester
Type of work: permanent
Salary: £41520
Working hours: 8.00am till 4.00pm Monday to Friday
We are now seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor for manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, motivating staff, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with both company and legislative policies
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Conversion Production schedule and changes.
- Participates in the definition of deadlines for orders to be transformed.
- Adapts machine and shop capacity based on order books.
- Ensures coordination with the other departments, in particular Extrusion, Maintenance, Logistics, Technical Service and SEP.
- Organises in collaboration with the technical department the installation and start-up of
- new machines.
- Monitors the maintenance of equipment in the workshop within its scope in coordination with the Technical and Maintenance departments.
- Complete quality audits and achieve self-certification
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S and TPM
- Flexibly assist across manufacturing areas as needed
- Conducts team and individual meetings.
- Proposes the training plan for the team.
- Creates and adapts staff planning according to needs.
- Validates the hours worked in his department.
- Participates in job interviews and the decision-making process.
- Supervises the activity of the forklift team and plans their workload, in collaboration with the logistics department.
- Manages and defines operating procedures.
- Leads or co-leads continuous improvement projects in his/her sector (5S, SMED, TPM).
- Ensures that product quality controls and corresponding registrations are carried out by its teams.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in supervisory position within manufacturing environment
- NVQ Level 3 (UK) or equivalent.
Mastery of computer tools. - Knowledge of people management
ERP desirable
Strong understanding of safety culture
