Job Title: Multi-Skilled Technician

Location: Stockport

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician to join their team. The role will involve carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), compliance checks, and general building upkeep across a mixed-tenant office building, as well as acting as the first point of response for reactive maintenance (including minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks) and ensuring the site remains safe and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities – Multi-Skilled Technician

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and compliance checks, including fire alarm tests, legionella monitoring, and general building inspections.
  • Act as the first line response for reactive maintenance issues, isolating problems and coordinating specialist contractors for repairs.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the building, regularly walking the site to check facilities and ensure safety.
  • Support general building upkeep and assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Opportunity to work additional hours at a nearby building, performing tasks such as fire alarm testing.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – Multi-Skilled Technician

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance, facilities, or building services role.
  • Knowledge of building compliance, statutory checks, and PPM procedures.
  • Comfortable handling first-line reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining visibility and engagement across the site.
  • Standard DBS
