We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation based in Gloucester. 

Key Responsibilities - Project Engineer

  • Assume direct control and full responsibility for allocated projects
  • Review and interpret customer contracts orders and technical specifications
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project related customers and suppliers
  • Provide leadership guidance and support to Design Manufacturing Procurement and Installation commissioning teams
  • Liaise closely with the design team to provide technical guidance and direction
  • Chair and manage regular internal project review meetings
  • Attend customer and supplier sites for review meetings design surveys and factory acceptance tests
  • Maintain full financial control of project activities to ensure profitability
  • Support the accounts team with project financial reporting
  • Prepare detailed project plans and support internal planning meetings
  • Provide technical support to sales marketing and proposal teams
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
  • Take responsibility for CE activity including preparation approval and issue of CE manuals
  • Ensure equipment and systems meet current legislation and customer specifications
  • Support the preparation of design risk assessments method statements and site risk assessments

Qualifications & Requirements - Project Engineer

  • Direct and indirect discrimination guidance considered
  • Proven experience in a Project Engineer or similar engineering project role
  • Strong understanding of engineering project delivery within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Ability to manage project budgets schedules and stakeholder relationships
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including design and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of current health safety and CE marking legislation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
