Omega are supporting a leading fire protection contractor in the appointment of an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial sprinkler installation projects. The successful Project Manager will be responsible for managing all stages of project delivery, from initial site surveys through to testing and commissioning, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially aware individual to take ownership of key projects, lead site teams effectively, and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities – Project Manager

  • Conduct detailed site surveys to assess project requirements and site conditions.
  • Manage procurement of labour, materials, equipment, and fabrication to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site management teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and Director to oversee project budgets and maintain strict cost control.
  • Monitor and record installation progress, ensuring work aligns with project schedules and milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation, including daily records of all operatives working on assigned projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with approved method statements, risk assessments, and all relevant health and safety standards.
  • Support and coordinate testing and commissioning activities to verify system performance and compliance.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – Project Manager

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as Project Manager of commercial sprinkler installations.
  • CSCS card.
  • Strong procurement and cost control skills.
  • Background in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems and dry riser systems.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and similar project management software.
  • Understanding of Sprinkler related standards BS EN12845, LPC Rules & BS9990.
