Job Title: Assembler / CNC Inspector
Location: Gloucester
Pay Range: £30,000
Contract Type: Perm
Our client, a leading manufacturer of bespoke precision components, is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Assembler / CNC Inspector to join their manufacturing team. This dual-role position requires hands-on assembly of precision components, as well as inspection and quality control of CNC-machined parts using various measurement tools and inspection equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in both assembly and inspection within a manufacturing environment, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities – Assembler/ CNC inspector
- Assemble plastic components and subassemblies according to drawings & work instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures to ensure precise and consistent builds.
- Perform in-process checks to ensure parts are properly aligned and assembled.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Record completed work in production documentation or ERP system.
- Inspect CNC-machined parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and optical comparators.
- Assemble and build plastics components
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Qualifications & Requirements – Assembler/ CNC inspector
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly and/or CNC part inspection.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards (preferred).
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Lift and carry parts or tools up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes and tolerances.
