Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Southminster, Essex

Pay Range: Competitive

My client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join its growing Quality Assurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in maintaining and enhancing a robust Quality Management System across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities –Quality Engineer  

  • Act as the main point of contact for Quality Assurance, working closely with internal teams and customers.
  • Support validation and verification activities, ensuring inspection criteria and quality controls are defined and met.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of product Technical Files in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead problem-solving and change management activities, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support internal and supplier audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Promote a strong culture of quality across the business through coaching and training.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – Quality Engineer  

  • Experience in a regulated industry (medical devices, automotive, aerospace or similar).
  • Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, ISO13485, MDD/MDR, CFR Part 820 & ISO14971.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience using tools such as FMEA, RCA, CAPA, 8D or APQP.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • A qualification in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools would be a strong advantage
