Our leading manufacturing client based in Leighton Buzzard is currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will focus on proactive maintenance and play a vital role in providing 24/7 breakdown support when needed.

Key Responsibilties - Maintenance Engineer

  • Perform maintenance and fault diagnosis on advanced industrial equipment, including Injection Moulding machines and assembly lines.
  • Support site assets to maximise Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Follow Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Troubleshoot PLC and Drive systems.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Work within a shift-based team providing 24/7 breakdown support for a high-output manufacturing facility.
  • Utilise CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with operational management and staff to address engineering maintenance needs.
  • Work from planned maintenance schedules and provide detailed feedback on faults and repairs.
  • Provide clear and timely updates to maintenance management, identifying potential issues to support preventative maintenance planning.
  • Drive engineering initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
  • Shift Pattern: 6 days on, 3 days off, rotating between 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm.

Qualification and Requirements - Maintenance Engineer

  • Knowledge of Injection Moulding machines and assembly lines is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Commitment to promoting Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement in engineering practices across the site.
  • Experience in an industrial engineering setting.
  • Background in operational engineering within a manufacturing environment.
