Overview:
The Process Engineer – Automated Welding is responsible for developing, optimising, and maintaining automated TIG welding processes and ancillary equipment to ensure consistently high product quality, process capability, efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards. The role focuses on process robustness, continuous improvement and technical support across production and new product introduction.
Responsibilities:
Develop, validate, and optimise automated welding processes for production and new product introduction. Create and maintain Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and work instructions. Employ Lean and Agile techniques to all activities delivering cost efficiencyWorking with the Lead Engineer to deliver new technology and support capital Investment projectsSupport the introduction of equipment and or processes from concept stage to the production handoverImplement “Future Factory” solutions that guarantee manufacturing capability and capacity to meet demandSupport and drive improvement for the ongoing pursuit of Quality across Assembly and operationsStrong communication with all stakeholders, suppliers and contractorsRequirements:
