Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team to work on a leading supermarket contract at their distribution sites . The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment at distribution sites, undertaking regular reactive, PPMs and minor repairs.

 

Key Responsibilities - Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.   Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.   Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.   Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.   Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.   Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date   Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (On call every second week)

Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer within commercial maintenance, service, and installation environments.F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.Good understanding of health & safety regulations, compliance standards, and safe systems of work within commercial environments.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.On call rota is 1-in-7.Standard working day is 8 hours on site, with an 08.00 start time.Any time worked on site beyond 8 hours is paid at 1.5x overtime.Travel time is paid separately and on top of on?site hours.
