Our client is a well-established and market-leading organisation operating within the equipment hire and logistics sector. Supporting major events, public sector projects, and commercial customers throughout the UK and internationally, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality service and operational excellence.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join their team in Cheltenham.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Fleet, the Transport Supervisor will lead and manage daily transport operations, ensuring the timely and safe delivery and collection of specialist equipment across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring all transport activities comply with company procedures and legal requirements while maximising fleet efficiency and maintaining exceptional customer service standards. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to drive operational improvements and make a significant impact within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily vehicle scheduling and route planning to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.Manage and monitor both employed drivers and subcontracted transport providers, ensuring compliance with company policies and transport legislation.Source, assess, and manage subcontracted transport providers to ensure service, safety, and compliance standards are met.Ensure all vehicles and drivers remain compliant with health & safety regulations, vehicle inspection requirements, licensing, and training obligations.Coordinate deliveries and collections, ensuring customer requirements are met accurately and on time.Act as a key point of contact for customers, resolving transport-related queries and maintaining high service levels.Manage vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair schedules across the fleet.Maintain accurate transport records, including driver documentation, fleet compliance, and performance data.Produce regular reports on fleet utilisation, delivery performance, costs, and subcontractor performance.Monitor transport KPIs, identify trends, and implement corrective actions where required.Work closely with senior management to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the transport function.

Qualifications & Requirements – Transport Supervisor

Previous experience in a Transport Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Fleet Supervisor, Transport Planner, or similar role.Strong understanding of UK transport legislation, compliance requirements, and fleet operations.Experience managing drivers and subcontracted transport providers.Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Competent in Microsoft Office and transport management systems.Full UK Driving Licence.DesirableTransport Manager CPC qualification.Experience within equipment hire, events, catering, facilities management, or a related sector.Knowledge of telematics and fleet tracking systems.HGV licence.

A leading automotive lighting manufacturer supplying luxury and supercar brands is seeking an experienced NPI Process Engineer to join its Launch & SVO team. This role is responsible for delivering robust manufacturing processes for new product introduction projects, ensuring products are launched efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with cross-functional project teams, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement, and supporting projects through to successful production handover and closure.

Key Responsibilities – NPI Process Engineer

Process Development & Continuous Improvement:

Develop and improve manufacturing processes to achieve high levels of quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance (QCD).Review and optimise manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials to support cost reduction initiatives.Lead continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations.Support quality investigations and implement robust root cause corrective actions.Lead and facilitate continuous improvement teams focused on manufacturing performance.

Documentation & Manufacturing Engineering:

Create, maintain, and manage key process documentation, including PFMEAs and Control Plans.Develop and support manufacturing processes for new products and new product introductions (NPI).Support the integration of BOMs, routing structures, and SAP system requirements.Assist with RFQ creation and manufacturing cost assessments.Conduct individual component reviews to support tooling and production readiness documentation.

Project & Product Launch Support:

Support project teams in achieving programme phase exit milestones.Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities throughout the product development lifecycle.Support DFMEA activities and manufacturing risk assessments.Assist with project development activities and engineering reviews.Lead or support pre-series and prototype builds where required.Provide manufacturing support throughout product launch and continue support until project closure.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company Health & Safety policies.Adhere to Environmental and 5S standards across all manufacturing and project activities.Promote safe working practices and continuous workplace organisation improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements – NPI Process Engineer

Minimum of 5 years' experience within an assembly manufacturing or manufacturing engineering environment.Proven track record of delivering manufacturing process improvements within assembly operations.Experience supporting new product introduction and product launch activities.Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and manufacturing process development.Six Sigma experience preferred, with Black Belt qualification advantageous but not essential.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive "can-do" approach.Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through improvementinitiatives.Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally automotive or related sectors.

This role plays a key part in ensuring flawless new product introduction, driving APQP activity, and delivering robust BEON/PPAP submissions across multiple customer programmes.

Key Responsibilities – Advanced Quality Engineer

Coordinate and control all APQP documentation through to PPAP approval for new programme launches.Execute PPAP submissions for customer‑driven and internal engineering changes.Interpret and apply customer‑specific PPAP requirements.Oversee quality‑related gateway tasks and ensure compliance with latest customer standards.Act as the internal customer for BEON/PPAP deliverables.Support Run at Rate and 2DP activities to ensure safe and stable product launch.Participate in gauge design reviews and acceptance processes.Provide statistical analysis support during product maturation phases.Produce monthly PPAP/BEON status reports for management.Support D/PFMEA and DFM reviews.Escalate risks and delays affecting BEON/PPAP submission targets.Conduct root cause analysis and drive effective problem resolution.Support Supplier Quality in cascading customer‑specific requirements.Act as point of contact for customer project quality concerns and milestone reviews.Contribute to lessons‑learned workshops across the product range.

Strong experience within medium‑volume manufacturing, ideally automotive.Deep knowledge of automotive quality tools and APQP methodology.Demonstrable problem‑solving capability (8D, PPS, advanced methods).Solid understanding of IMDS.Experience working directly with customers and suppliers.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.Strong organisational and follow‑up abilities.Competent in team building, planning and decision‑making.IATF 16949 auditing experience essential (VDA desirable).Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Minitab.Commercially aware with the ability to influence at all levels.
