Position: Production Planner

Salary: £28000 to £30000

Position: permanent

Location: hybrid (Travel to our office in Bracknell should be expected quarterly, and flexible to come in as and when requested.)

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and on Fridays 8.00am to 3.30pm

We are now seeking home based Production Planner to provide operational excellence and first-class customer service, and demand forecast planning for a worldwide client base. Reporting to the SCM Team Leader, the Production Planner shall be responsible for handling both pre- and post-sales customer service, inventory management, as well as general support to fellow SCM and Sales colleagues. A flexible team player accustomed to working within a dynamic multinational environment.

Responsibilities of production planner:

  • Understand and analyse customer requirements to provide excellent customer service levels.
  • Ensure an accurate and quick turnaround of entering sales orders within an ERP system, issuing sales order confirmations and management of shipments to customers.
  • Efficient management of inbound/outbound logistics support to ensure both customer requirements and On Time Delivery (OTD) targets are met
  • Manage accurate and timely inventory forecast and demand plans for nominated accounts and suppliers.
  • Manage accurate creation and distribution of purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Support the management of inventory levels within pre-defined financial and physical constraints.
  • Ensure the swift follow up and resolution of customer complaints to secure continued customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely distribution of supplier inbound shipping data.
  • Support stock turnover, minimising slow or dead stock, within inventory guidelines and customer contract terms.
  • Regularly review and initiate improvements to customer-specific processes as part of continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Client focussed with a high attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a customer service and demand forecast planning environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise.
  • An organised Team player, able to work in a closely-knit team but able to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and navigate several software applications.
  • Flexible to changing market requirements and team needs.
  • Experience of an ERP system.
  • Well versed to working in a goal driven environment, to meet operational financial targets and schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral (English), and confident to deal with direct and indirect stakeholders from multinational backgrounds and all levels of seniority.
  • Advanced Excel skills an advantage.
