Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager the Engineer Site Services Manager will provide factory Services , Process and Utilities support to the Engineering Team on a large process and manufacturing site.

You will be tasked with leading the maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and continuously improving plant performance, quality, and safety across site.

You will ensure the continued delivery of manufacturing service levels through both reactive and preventative maintenance schedules. You will be a string hands on strong people manager leading a team of 10 plus contractors,  ideally offering a with a wealth of knowledge in Site Services within a manufacturing environment.

Key accountabilities: Engineering Site Services & Utilities Manager

•Responsibility for the efficient operation of the utilities and site services equipment on site ensuring efficient use of energy and resources to meet legal obligations KPI targets

•Manage site contracts for services ensuring high quality service and competitive budget management

•Taking responsibility & ownership for delivering a high-quality co-ordination of site services and facilities in support of the achievement of goals and targets.

•Effective asset care of the site services plant and equipment

•Ensure Legal & Statutory Compliance

•Manage Suppliers for efficient site stores inventory management

•Provide engineering expertise to assigned areas (e.g., effluent plant, engineering stores, process, and services in a leadership role

•Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of technicians and contractors.

Offering Sound operational Knowledge of working with:

•  Fire Prevention Systems

•  Steam Supply Systems

•  Electricity Supply Systems

• Heat Exchangers

•Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of the waste recycling team

•Liaise with and manage contractors, including External Contract management and audits

•Lead Site Energy Sustainability and Site Energy Management on and off site

• Reduce energy costs & develop energy monitoring systems

Owner of site risk assessment and insurance actions

•Site Gas Safety, Legionella, LOLER, Pressure Systems

Skills and Experience Required: Engineering Site Services & Utilities Manager

•Demonstrate a sound capability of technical understanding of site services, effluent, Legionella, HVAC, air, boilers, steam, water etc

•Experience of working within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment and Previous experience working in Engineering Site Services Role

•Formal engineering qualification to at least an HNC/HND standard

Experience of maintenance and facilities management, including management of technical team

Proven ability to work in partnership with management teams

Able to read and interpret site plans and drawings / layouts and contribute to discussions around site development and changes.

•Experience of carrying out a similar role within a Manufacturing, Production or Automated environment

•Knowledge and experience of compliance systems e.g.  LOLER

•Experience in leading and developing a team
