In this newly created role, onsite, reporting to the Site Hygiene Manager , you will strive to achieve outstanding, best in class Hygiene performance, maintaining the correct factory hygiene standards and customer satisfaction with factory cleanliness. You will help drive a culture of continuous improvement in hygiene, quality and food safety standards, leading a team of hygiene operatives and technicians on your day shift.

Duties & Responsibilities – Production Hygiene Team Manager - Dayshift

You will facilitate and coach your Hygiene team’s performance

Ensure the completion of hygiene schedules to ensure factory and environment are maintained to a high standard

Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards are implemented, maintained, and improved

To ensure the hygiene standards, cleaning procedures, practises and equipment are continually re-evaluated in line with best practise

Responsible for the development and training of all the site hygiene activities with the Hygiene Members to maximise their potential

To present to customers documentation to support the Hygiene Operation including Chemical Data Sheets, Training Records and completion/sign off

Responsible for ensuring all work conforms to the processes and procedures of the ‘Quality Management System’ and ‘Health and Safety Management Systems

Lead a team of hygiene operatives to ensure there is a safe and hygienic working

Maintain robust cleaning schedules

Ensure you have the right people in the right place at the right time

Ensure deep cleans are completed in full and on time

Ensure the elimination and control of pests across the site.

Involvement in external audits

Deliver training for all operatives

Adherence to Master Cleaning Schedules

Measured through External Audit Performance

Control and Retailer Audits

Control Hygiene budget in agreement with Technical Manager

 

Requirements & Experience – Production Hygiene Team Manager - Dayshift

A proven record of achievement in hygiene, quality or food safety management

Good understanding of Food Safety, Health and Safety and COSHH

Experience in a similar role within food and drink manufacturing

Experience in leading and supporting a team of people

Record of building and leading small teams within a technical , manufacturing, quality or food safety

Excellent numeric, analytical, literacy and problem-solving Skills

Understanding BRC Technical Standard
