Profile – Quaity Assurance Engineer

Our client is a renowned supplier to high-quality materials for use in the international aerospace industry. They are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. Job Role – Quaity Assurance Engineer

Reporting to the Divisional Manager you shall be responsible for all Technical/Quality aspects of the Division, developing processes and building relationships to enable you to provide a first-rate service to all your stakeholders.

Duties – Quaity Assurance Engineer

  • Champion best practise to develop and improve the companies internal processes.
  • Review and follow through Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) of NCRs related to division.
  • Support the Technical and Quality team during external audits including customer related audits in areas specific to the VSM departments remit.
  • Support and develop the other direct reports in the Q&T team and conduct PDRS for direct reports.
  • Carry out internal audits and help maintain the audit schedule 
  • Carry out external audits on suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain the AVL
  • Support customers and sales staff during technical queries and support them fully in answering the questions to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Work with colleagues to obtain suppliers approval and help maintain it.   
  • Carry out contract reviews for technical aspects on any department sales or material order.
  • Deal with any internal or external quality issues generated from the sales teams or customers to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Analyse data to pinpoint areas within the process that need improving and then work alongside Operations / Quality departments to ensure the enhancements are made and continually audited and improved.
  • Liaise with sales teams and fellow engineers to ensure future customer requirements are communicated to Operations and actions are taken to accommodate these requirements.
  • Support other divisions and department where required.

Experience/Qualifications – Quaity Assurance Engineer

  • Experience in a technical role in the Aerospace industry or other related engineering field covering metals processing and production/steel stockholding    
  • Good understanding of ISO9001 and AS9120

Candidates who are currently a Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, SQE, Aerospace Engineer, Technical Manager and Process Engineer could be suitable for this role.
