Job Title: Senior Production Engineer

Pay Range/details: £50,000 - £56,000

Omega is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Client as a Senior Production Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, including CNC programming and new part introduction, within a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Production Engineer

  • Produce CNC programs for 4 & 5 axis machines and multi-axis turn-mills using Siemens NX & Vericut.
  • Develop CNC grinding programs for a variety of grinding machines.
  • Manage new part introduction (NPI) for prototype and production projects with short lead times.
  • Create and define manufacturing routings and Bill of Materials (BOM) using SAP ERP.
  • Design fixtures and tooling for NPI projects.
  • Implement new cutting technologies to improve tool life and cycle time.
  • Assist with departmental training and progression programs.
  • Estimate production times and associated costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction within manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental, and energy considerations are met in all activities.
  • Support company compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

Qualifications & Requirements – Senior Production Engineer

  • Proven experience in machining and programming complex components, ideally within the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX CAD/CAM system and Vericut simulation software.
  • Experience using SAP ERP systems is desirable.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher).
  • Thorough understanding of machining, cutting, and inspection techniques.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support other tasks as needed.
