Location: Watford

My client is now seeking to recruit a full-time receptionist to join a busy reception within an engineering company, based in Watford. The appropriate candidate will be working Monday to Friday 37.5 hour week.


  • Greet visitors, arrange signing in and inform staff of their arrival, ensure visitors are briefed on security and HSE arrangements

  • respond to incoming calls promptly and re-route as appropriate

  • Sort incoming mail. Process, sort and frank postage and courier parcels throughout the day ready for postal and courier

  • Track and check invoicing, of couriered goods/docs as and when required

  • Manage stationery cupboard and stock

  • Manage and issue temporary access cards

  • Ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times

  • Provide additional reception cover for holidays and sickness

  • Complete 256 activity, which may include a basic driving requirement when receiving vehicle handover


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Driving license

  • Professional/Discretionary manner both in person and on telephone

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Flexibility in approach to tasks

  • Able to liaise with staff and visitors at all levels

  • Basic knowledge of Word & Excel
