Job Title: Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator

Location: Bridgwater

Pay Range £35,000

Contract Type: Permanent

My client is looking for an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator with experience working with international shipments and domestic shipments.

Experience working with hazardous goods is desirable but not essential. If you fell this role could be a good fit for you, please read the requirements below.

Key Responsibilities – Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator

  • Organisation of administrative work related to both domestic and international shipments outside of the United Kingdom, shipping to the EMEIA region (Europe, Middle East, India, Africa), such as Customs Declarations, Excise Duties, Hazardous Goods Documentation and Dangerous Goods Declarations.
  • To keep abreast of regulatory changes relating to shipping requirements and to act as local central point of contact providing advice on customs and excise tariffs relating to the products sold and shipped by the Company.
  • To co-ordinate consignment collections and communicate logistics timings and updates to the Customer Care team.
  • To utilise an inter-departmental collaborative approach by working with Warehouse, Customer Care, Sales, Supply Chain Planning, and Operations to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used when producing and shipping product.
  • To be able to analyse, assess, and solicit feedback on customer orders and required transportation documentation.
  • To provide input to transportation management shipping processes in order to drive efficiency improvements.
  • To assist the Warehouse Manager with the organisation and transport of waste collections by liaising with approved third-party vendors.

Qualifications & Requirements – Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator

  • 5 years experience in a transportation, logistics or warehouse environment, preferably with knowledge and experience of S&OP Planning processes.
  • Experience of working within the chemical industry is preferred.
  • Educated to Degree level within a relevant discipline and/or holding a relavent professional qualification in supply chain management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of regulations relating to the transportation of dangerous goods (ADR, IMDG) and customs and excise duties / reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with third party logistics partners and freight forwarders.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle or a cloud-based system) is desired.
  • Experience and competence with use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint; and experience of using reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and task prioritisation skills, with the ability to self-prioritise own workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organisational levels.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with both internal and external customers to deliver organsational goals.
