Job Title: Electrical Tester

Location: Bristol

Pay Range/details: £30,000 to £32,000 including shift allowance

In the Electrical Tester role, you will be tasked with testing gas abatement products including fault finding and rectification This role is a critical role for the business and the last process in the manufacturing of our abatement systems. There is a high level of responsibility on the test technician to ensure all correct testing has been completed, all documentation is completed and stored and compliance with regulations is met.

 

Key Responsibilities – Test Technician

  • Work within company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.

  • Work responsibly and in compliance with the company policies, procedures, and terms of employment.

  • Understand and adhere to “Right from Me” principles.

  • Liaising with Team Leader to proactively maintain high standards of Safety, Quality, and Procedures during assembly.

  • Continuously looks to improve own skill set and flexibility working with Team Leader to set Development Plan.

  • Responsible and accountable for maintaining 5S standards within owns zone.

  • Ensure and adheres to 5S procedures within the Cell.

  • Working on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

  • Conduct reworks, corrections and modifications when required.

  • Print document, labels or instructions as required.

  • Follow and complete Production Documentation as required.

  • Use of hand tools and lifting equipment.

  • Provide cover or support in similar roles when required.

  • Maintain the highest standard of quality in produced work.

  • Work within a team with job sharing.

  • Work within the assigned time frames and lead times.

  • Report errors in documentation, form, fit, or function detected during assembly.

  • Work with detailed information in a logical and organised way.

  • Cooperate and share information with other departments when required.

  • Seek feedback from peers and internal customers on owns work.

Qualifications & Requirements – Test Technician

  • Ensuring safe and correct testing of gas abatement products according to standard FT&C documentation.

  • Leak/decay testing on gas, fuel, and liquid lines.

  • Electrical (PAT) testing system and of components.

  • Use of test and measurement equipment – DMM, current meters, thermocouple readers etc.

  • Complete standard final test, build and calibration of machines prior to final despatch.

  • Document control using test report, schedule, and other reference material.

  • Recording and reporting issues during the test process.
