Technical Support Engineer       

Brixworth

£35,000 - £40,000

Our client are a manufacturer of equipment and parts for the automation and bespoke machine build industry. They are seeking a technical support engineer to join their growing team in Brixworth. The role will suit someone with an understanding of machining and design using AutoCad/Solidworks.

Responsibilities

  • Technical support and development of all products

  • Full technical support of the sales team and customers

  • Provide the link between the customers demands, and client manufacturing capabilities and suppliers in order to facilitate long term growth goals.

  • Prepare quotes as required by customers.

  • Preparation of 2d drawings/stage drawings from customer products

  • Assist purchasing in the selection of suppliers by identifying product requirements.

  • Communicate fully and openly with customers to determine their product needs and disseminate this information throughout the organisation.

  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas ways to market.

  • Obtain product market share by working with sales director / sales and marketing manager to develop product sales strategies.

  • Provide information for directors by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses.

  • Work with purchasing / works manager to facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.

  • Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.

  • Introduce and market new products by developing timing plans with sales and production.

  • Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.

  • Liaise with the works manager to determine capabilities and capacities in the short, medium and long term.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
