Role: Supplier Development Manager

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + car allowance or company car

Establish a data-driven quality culture to include the following features:

  • Manage and coach supplier development & quality and goods inwards inspection team.
  • Coach and help develop the Italy and France supplier development / supplier quality assurance functions into the processes and practices developed.
  • Improve UK supplier performance to achieve specific department targets.
  • Engage in the supplier selection processes to ensure suitable and qualified suppliers are used.
  • Lead supplier audits in accordance with our global standards.
  • Co-ordinate urgent supplied parts quality resolution/rework in support of customer service.
  • Provide technical support & data to purchasing & our suppliers to identify supplier development opportunities for parts & process improvement.
  • Identify, develop & improve internal quality processes within Goods Inwards.
  • Support annual cost reduction within buying team
  • Suggest radical product and process changes to support significant quality improvements & cost reductions as appropriate.
  • Support development and deployment of Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) applications within the purchasing department.
  • Support the daily internal production quality reviews to take responsibility for the supplier related concerns in the UK supply chain.
  • Detailed supplier concern communication: utilising various data, quality tools & measurement methods to clearly define non-conformances.
  • Strong collaboration with the other quality teams.
  • Support alignment of strategic sourcing between European sites to ensure strategic suppliers are elected for new project and development suppliers have a clear mandate to improve.
  • Promote and improve work area (5S).
  • Manage time effectively, with UK supply chain being the key focus while supporting Italy and France as and when needed.
  • Deputize for the Purchasing Manager as and when requested.
