Our defence client seeks an ambitious senior Software Verification and Validation Engineer in their Real Time Seeker group as a Senior Software Verification and Validation Engineer. This role has emerged in response to the growing demand for elevated standards in Safety Critical Software. As a pivotal member of our team, you'll be the driving force behind coordinating and ensuring the flawless execution of Software Verification and Validation activities on safety-critical projects. This is a unique chance to shape the future of high-performance software in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

You’ll be employed in Stevenage, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with flexible hours.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work within this role, you must be a British National and be able to obtain SC or DV clearance.

This role will require 2 days per week on site on average.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Software Verification and Validation Engineer

• Process Mastery: Leverage your strong understanding of safety-critical processes and standards, particularly DO-178C, to orchestrate seamless Software Verification and Validation activities.
• Documentation Guru: Showcase your hands-on experience in generating comprehensive verification plans, documentation, and detailed reporting to ensure the highest levels of quality.
• Mentorship Champion: Take the lead in mentoring software verification and validation engineers, sharing your expertise and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strategic Insight: As a strategic thinker, define and guide project software verification and validation strategies, ensuring alignment with overarching objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements – Senior Software Verification and Validation Engineer

• Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in safety-critical processes and standards, with a track record of involvement in SOI audits.
• Hands-On Prowess: Proven hands-on experience in generating associated verification plans, documentation, and reporting.
• Collaborative Leadership: Provide technical expertise to stakeholders and engineers, fostering a culture of best practices and efficiency.
• Capability Building: Act as a catalyst in building the capability of the software verification and validation teams, identifying skill gaps and engaging with Project leads.
• Strategic Vision: Bring a strategic mindset, influencing and defining project software verification and validation strategies.
