Senior Operations Manager

Up to £78,000 plus bonus and benefits

Senior Operations Manager required by hugely successful industry leading company which is undergoing a period of substantial growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for all employees who are involved with manufacture and repair of products. This includes ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance to industry standards.

Main Duties - Senior Operations Manager

  • Prioritising workload and allocating tasks.

  • Managing forecasts and adjusting workflow in order to meet demand.

  • Management of resources and materials to meet budgets.

  • Carrying out auditing to ensure that product quality and traceability standards are met and ensuring that corrective action is taken when required.

  • Guiding managers in evaluating employee performance and providing training plans and performance management.

  • Keeping job descriptions up to date and working with the HR department with succession planning and recruitment.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following – Senior Operations Manager

  • Educated to Degree Level in an Engineering or Business discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Previous management experience ideally gained in a highly regulated  engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Able to evaluate and resolve issues with manufacturing processes.

  • Comfortable with working with a high product mix and short production schedules..

  • A working knowledge of lean manufacturing.

  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport and  influence.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
