HR Generalist

Location: Knighton

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

My client is one of Britain's biggest food companies, with many of their brands found in the majority of British Households. 

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior HR Advisor to join the team and provide generalist support to the colleagues across the Knighton site. 


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide full, generalist HR support to the Knighton site
  • Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their leadership and people management skills and constructively challenge any inappropriate behaviours/actions
  • Advise and support managers on any people relations issues, including absence, capability, disciplinary and grievances
  • Support on all recruitment activity, including screening CVs, arranging and attending interviews, providing feedback, making offers etc
  • Provide HR administration support


Candidate Experience/Qualifications:

  • CIPD fully or partly qualified
  • 3+ years generalist HR experience, ideally from a manufacturing background
  • Experience in a labour intensive and unionised environment
  • A willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and support the wider HR team and site management
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
