Job Role: Quality Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager the Quality Engineer shall identify and work on quality issues throughout the manufacturing process. Ensuring development of policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, or operations.
-Actively participate in improving product quality within Production.
-Carry out root cause analysis investigations using common tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys etc.) that have arisen from product non-conformities resulting in corrective and preventive actions.
-Undertake audits (internal, customer and 3rd party) covering all aspects of the site.
-Support Production during daily stand ups and being a focal point for quality concerns.
-Carry out First Article Inspection across all part numbers
-Support New Product Introduction and Advance Product Quality
-Support Engineering and operations in product quality improvements, focusing on scrap and rework and working to ‘right first time’. Also providing support in the generation and approval of process documentation and to sign off on behalf of the Quality function with clear understanding of an engineering drawing
-Generate and sign off Quality documentation such as, but not limited to Concessions/Production Permits, First Article Inspection Reports, Repair Surveys, NCR’s, Rejection Notes, Test Approvals, Calibration Records, Technical specifications, Quality/Inspection Plans, Weld/NDT techniques, DIG Ops, etc.
-Assist in the preparation of FMEA, PPAP and APQP documentation in accordance with customer and regulatory standards.
-Degree/HND/HNC in relevant engineering discipline
-Understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, AS9102 and AS13000
