Shifts  - 3 on 3 off 12hrs Dayshift /Nightshift

The company primarily serves the fast-moving consumer goods (e.g. dry food, grocery, and health and personal care), fresh produce, beverage, retail and general manufacturing industries. 

The plant is a large warehouse and wash plant for RPC utilised in the Automotive Industry

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise, develop and coach employees
  • Continuous improvement via systemic change based on data and root cause (i.e. Data analysis and   improvement / correction plans)
  • Ownership and control of all quality related issues on their shifts.
  • Drive a zero harm culture within the shift
  • Lead root cause analysis of all incidents that happen on shift
  • Encourage others to perform
  • Recognise change as necessary and willingly share knowledge across business areas
  • Adapt and learn in new situations
  • Work closely with the Team Leader taking Control Yard (When necessary) and Warehouse movements delegating relevant tasks to FLT drivers bearing in mind warehouse needs as well as the site turnaround times
  • Hold weekly daily briefs and report plant KPIs
  • Monitor and ensure consistent, timely responses to all relating to zero harm and production
  • Owning the controls on safety, quality, production
  • Assist in monitoring of employees holidays
  • Ensure employees comply with the Plant  policy’s and procedures
  • Monitor and ensure consistent, timely responses to all relating to zero harm and production
  • Assisting in monitoring absence levels and dealing with employees in the correct manner when triggers are made
  • Deputise for the Production Manager in their absence


•             Technical discipline preferred

•             IOSH qualified

•             Experienced in lean based/CI operational role would be an advantage.

•             Experience in team and shift leadership would be advantageous

•             Ideally worked in a quality focused environment and familiar with quality based standards.

•             Strong numerical and verbal skills

•             Highly organised with a flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and persistent approach.

•             Good coaching skills.

•             Proven skills and capabilities in communication and problem solving.

•             Knowledge and experience of quality principals.

•             Experienced in the application of MS-Office

•             Personal: Capabilities in Leadership, Project management and change
