Role: Production Manager

Location: Cirencester

Salary: £37,000 - £45,000

I am working exclusively with a market leading manufacturer of street furniture, who provide a wide range of high quality products to a number of industries. They are currently looking for a Production Manager to join their expanding business on a permanent basis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Production of projects to specification on time and within costs
  • Ensuring adequate resource and timely planning
  • Overseeing production and manufacturing processes
  • Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
  • Lead Occupational Health and Safety, Quality and Environment Standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop Production strategies in line with Company objectives
  • Manage Production, people, resources and budgets to meet strict manufacturing deadlines.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of production strategies
  • Create and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
  • Review and support of Product/Project costing
  • Respond to production technical queries
  • Develop and improve Workshop organisation and layout
  • Manage Stock Control
  • Procure, maintain and record (Asset Register) workshop production equipment
  • Oversight and management of ISO9001 and ISO45001 operation, culture and compliance, and other required industry standards
  • Lead Workshop Team, induction of new staff and communicate issues and problems to senior management
  • Understand your role within the business, aiming to improve performance and achieve objectives

Skills and Experience Required

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team
  • Experience of manufacturing processes and techniques
  • An understanding of general finance and budgeting
  • Accurate and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of implementing production systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing costs
  • An understanding of ISO9001
  • General understanding of AutoCAD would be an advantageous
  • Experience of working with timber and/or metal fabrication would be advantageous
  • Recognised production qualification would be advantageous
