My client is actively searching for an experienced Production engineer to develop new products as well as improving the current product portfolio.

• To research, design, develop and test new product from initial inception through to volume manufacture, creating Device history files, setting and maintain achievable Quality parameters

• To assist in devising, implementing, monitoring and maintaining the best manufacturing/production methods and techniques to improve controllability, quality and reduce costs in line with the Company’s overall goals for the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality products and excellent customer service.

• Managing projects from start to finish and good communications with all other departments involved

Key responsibilities:                       

• Introduction of New products from conception to reality ensuring compliance with relevant ISO standards and DFM

• Ensuring on time delivery of projects

•Preparation and maintenance of design dossiers, drawings, process and product validations through manufacture and testing

• Creation, control and maintenance of supporting product documentation

• Continual improvement of current manufacturing processes

• Liaise with other departments on topics including NPI, technical documentations, design/development, validation, and quality

• Liaising with suppliers to ensure we have suitable up to date tooling and processes

• Creating and maintaining product records within in the companies ERP system

• Adherence to Quality Management Systems requirements

• Procedure/technical documentation writing

• Compliance with all statutory regulations and company procedures

• Works with minimal supervision, taking personal responsibility for own actions and for the quality and accuracy of the work that is produced 

• Uses personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles

• Builds strong relationship across the wider team to share good practice, updates and learnings

• You will have a strong understanding of the importance of working with a diverse range of stakeholders

• Capable of preparing presentations and presenting


• All employees are responsible for the care and safekeeping of all company equipment as appropriate to their role

• Issues requiring training and/or qualification not undertaken/held by the employee must be escalated to the correct person

• Untrained/unqualified employees are forbidden from undertaking the use or maintenance of equipment

Qualifications & experience:

• A HNC in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or similar with a proven record of machine programming, project management, and NPI

• An understanding and capability of operating CAD software, Solidworks / AutoCAD

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office software package
