My client is a market leading manufacturing business based in Cheltenham who are looking for an experienced Product manager who ideally has experience within a manufacturing environment.
To provide a critical level of support to the global Sales team across a wide range of Marketing programmes.
This role will have a primary focus on the product life cycle and creation of marketing content. You will be involved in working closely with multiple teams across the business; and supporting product related decisions as well as providing both relevant market and competitor information.
The Product specialist - will oversee, project manage and deliver marketing activities both internally and externally as well as contribute to all social media activities relating to the portfolio.
Support supplier relationships to drive strategic activity as guided by Senior Marketing & Customer Service Executive and working with the sales team, this will strengthen our library of collateral and assets.
Work with the creative agency to support brand campaigns both internally and externally.
Own and manage a portfolio of products and lead on developing new products/features into the marketplace.
Build and present a robust business case for new product proposals and communicate with senior management on the tangible and non-tangible value of new and enhanced product developments.
Work closely with Market Intelligence, be responsible for understanding the marketplace by utilising customer research, competitive intelligence, industry analysis, trends, economic signals and competitive activity.
Be recognised as the internal facing product specialist and technical expert.
Take responsibility for the delivery of product launches internally, describing the sales expectations, internal/client benefits, competitor landscape, operational support/implementation and future developments.
Be agile enough to adapt to changing situations and collaborative in managing issues as they arise.
Have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Good analytical skills and interest in technology.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven experience of working with a technical/service-related portfolio.
• Good knowledge base of manufacturing market
• Experience writing engaging content in long and short form.
• Social Media channel management and content creation.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Proficient in MS office
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Creativity and commercial awareness.
• Understanding of divisions and their requirements.
• Strong account and project management
