We are now seeking to recruit a The Parts Manager for a busy motor service business based outside of Aberdeen. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day running of the parts sales operation whilst ensuring that agreed targets and profit objectives are met and that compliance with company policy and procedures are adhered. This will include interacting with key stakeholders and ensuring the products issued conform to the company’s quality standards and that orders are delivered and provide customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Report to After Sales company director.

  • Ensure maximum levels of profitability and efficiency are achieved

  • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved within Parts & Service Team

  • Be influential in promoting all products, services, commercial vehicle parts and associated equipment

  • Ensure high standards of excellence are achieved within the team

  • Monitor and report to ensure a service that consistently delivers on agreed KPI’S

  • Drive continual improvement throughout working practices and communication with various departments

  • Create (where necessary) processes and procedures for the Parts & Service Team and ensure these are kept up to date and always adhered to.  

  • Develop professional working relationships with external representatives 

  • Ensure department adheres to all relevant company policies and procedures. Monitor adherence to these policies and ensure any issues are resolved in accordance with company policy. i.e., Health and Safety at work and Human Resources

  • Carry out recruitment of team staff obtaining prior approval on any proposed vacancy.

  • Work closely with other Managers and employees to develop and deliver continued improvements; compliance with health and safety and quality standards; operational co-ordination to deliver the products and to support the overall business aims.

  • Ensure quality checks are carried out in area of responsibility. 

Requirements:

  • Strong background within the Parts Department having managed a team in a previous role

  • The ideal Parts Manager must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with a friendly and approachable manner

  • Ability to manage head counts and budget.

  • Lead and improve a function which is critical to the business

  • Commercial outlook with a focus on achieving company objectives
