Position Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: West Midlands area and Stafford

Type of role: Permanent

Working week: Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,766

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Technician to join the team covering the West Midlands area. We are looking for a professional vehicle technician to provide remote service & maintenance support for the Customer vehicles. As a qualified vehicle technician, you will perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

Successful candidates must be fully qualified to at least advanced level (City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles or equivalent.) and have proven experience of working on a wide range of vehicles.

 

Role & Responsibilities

Provide on-site and mobile service in Mechanical, Electrical, fault diagnosis and repair.

Travel within the West Midland area to meet the needs of our customers.

Accurately detail work completed and record times using the IT equipment and systems provided.

Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required to maximise efficiency.

Customer facing role, working on customer premises, demonstrating our business values, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Will be responsible for their own mobile vehicle ensuring that it is safe and compliant.

Maintaining and managing a van stock to alleviate customers vehicle downtime.

Keep Company provided equipment in good serviceable condition.

In house training, online and practical.

Skills & Experience

City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles or equivalent. Experience in the automotive maintenance industry.

Proficient fault finding / diagnostic skills.

Computer literate and able to operate Windows based programs.

Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels.

Good customer facing skills.

Good attention to detail

Ability to work autonomously

Ability to work within given timeframes

Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing.

Ability to plan and priorities effectively and work within tight deadlines.

Must be able to work safely unsupervised and use own initiative

Willingness and ability to travel.
