Position: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Toddington

Position: Permanent

Salary: £28000 to £35000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter / Installer to work for a bespoke manufacturing and installation company based near Toddington.

The appropriate candidate would be responsible for mechanical fitting bespoke control systems, automation systems and machinery as well as carry out the installation work on customer site.

Responsibilities:

The appropriate candidate will be required to work both in-house (40%) and on customers’ sites/travel (60%), carrying out mechanical fitting and assembly of automation machinery, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

You will able to interpret engineering drawings (mechanical a must, electrical a plus)

have sound experience of machine assembly

Previous experience of building assemblies and sub-assemblies

Previous experience of build of pneumatic systems

Ideally a trained apprentice and/or qualified Mechanical Fitter/Assembler

Experienced at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and able to follow written instructions

and method statements

Previous experience of working with pneumatic systems and valves

Experienced at working on medium sized assemblies and sub-assemblies
