Manufacturing Process Engineer
Aerospace and Defence
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer for an Aerospace and Defence client based in Gloucestershire. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development of future advanced manufacturing processes for a range of complex machined components. Looking to develop novel processes in preparation for winning new high volume programs, helping to ensure its competiveness within the aerospace industry.
Reviewing existing processes and interrogating capability data to identify area’s requiring improvement.
Process mapping current and future state manufacturing process.
3Interrogate piece part drawings against manufacturing and inspection capabilities.
Research and investigate new and innovative manufacturing equipment and processes.
5Mapping route to industrialization
Perform trails on new equipment to demonstrate it’s capability
Qualification and Experience
HNC/ HND (vocational, professional, or advanced) or equivalent in the field of Mechanical/Production Engineering.
Six Sigma Black Belt (Preferred)
Proficient in writing technical documentation, procedures etc and in the tools needed to create these (Microsoft Office)
Significant progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of manufacturing/process engineering
Extensive progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of manufacturing within Moog
Proven capabilities in DfM, DfSS, APQP/PPAP methodologies, Lean methodologies and Zero Defects.
Experience with high end inspection technology
Knowledge and exposure to the following processes would be beneficial; Milling, Turning, EDM Die Sink & Wire, Honing, Lapping, Grinding, Flow Deburring, Heat treatment
