Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Staffordshire

Job Type: Permanent

My client who manufactures top class machines within the ground maintenance and turf care industry.

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role you will be working within the Quality team to implement effective processes for NPI and work with the team to improve current manufacturing and assembly processes. Other responsibilities include:

• Proactively find ways to reduce waste, improve shopfloor layout and flow.

• Co-ordinate cross-functional PFMEA meetings to identify and document high risk processes
• Document manufacturing and assembly processes (standardized work / SOPs) and provide training.
• Devise, test and implement control measures to effectively reduce risk and prevent quality issues.

Experience or Qualifications –

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing improvement processes.
• Excellent problem solving skills with specific focus towards establishing root cause.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and associated tools and techniques.
• Experience with manual assembly processes

Candidates who currently are a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer or Mechanical Engineer may be suitable for this position.
