Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour

Contract type: Temporary to permanent

A leading textile manufacturer based in Stroud, is recruiting and has an opportunity available to join their Maintenance and Facilities team on a temporary to permanent basis. This vacancy is full time on day shift only and after training the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join on a permanent basis.

Job Duties- Maintenance Operative:

• Involved in various projects within a busy Engineering department
• Improve companies’ assets which include machinery, equipment, and buildings
• Respond to breakdowns, safety issues and any other situations requiring urgent action

Requirements- Maintenance Operative:

• Must have an aptitude in Plant Maintenance and General Engineering
• Mechanically minded with a good understanding of equipment and tools
• Good mechanical skills including welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, and drives
• Team player
• Reliable
• Good problem-solving skills
• Organisational skills with a sense of priority
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Forklift driving (not essential as training can be given)

• Monday to Friday 7:45am- 4:30pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)
• Temp to perm for the right candidate
• Full training as part of your ongoing development
• 39 hours per week guaranteed
