HR Generalist




HR Generalist Overview

As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating a wide variety of site HR activities, as well as providing effective human resources guidance and support to the business in resourcing , performance management, employee relations, on-boarding , policy/procedure interpretation, organisational design and recognition. The successful HR Generalist will join a brilliant team working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.


HR Generalist Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting managers on all areas of ER and performance management Monitor and take action on long and short term absence, liaising with Occ. Health as appropriate
  • Involvement with time & attendance, liaising with the Payroll Administrator as required
  • Manage recruitment both interim and permanent, liaising with agencies
  • Advising managers on performance management issues and development plans
  • Dealing with all areas of HR Admin as required including issuing contracts, offer letters, updates to the HR System and communications
  • Support implementation of appraisal and development processes
  • Advise and guide on policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and updates to employment law
  • Ensure compliance with HR data, administration and HR systems; analyse data and produce reports
  • Support on ad-hoc HR related projects as required


Qualification/Experience of HR Generalist

  • CIPD qualified or working towards
  • Proven experience operating in a generalist HR role ideally within a fast paced environment with high volume activity such as FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, etc.
  • Experience and confidence of influencing stakeholders
  • Good understanding of employment law
  • Strong HR administrative and process skills
  • Experience of employee relations, grievance & disciplinaries, absence management
  • Strong team working skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills
