Role: Head of Customer Services (Manufacturing)

Location: North Oxfordshire/South Warwickshire

Industry: Global Manufacturing

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (Experience dependant)

Work Format: Site based initially (Banbury), Hybrid after 9 months.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Customer Service Leader to join a global manufacturing business in the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire are.

You will be tasked with the strategic development & growth of the customer service department, ensuring that the business is represented as a leader in their field globally following the acquisition of a new business into the company group.

You will be joining the Senior leadership team in a position with power to implement change in your area and establish a robust team in the process.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Whilst this role will initially require an in person site based approach for the first 9 months, once a strategy is in place and a degree of stability has been achieved, there will be an opportunity for hybrid working long term.

 

Duties:

  • Deliver short- and long-term strategy for the benefit of the customer & business
  • Forecast for growth of the department for future workflows.
  • Represent Customer Service department in leadership meetings for all products and services
  • Recognise when change is required though Change Management
  • Develop a ‘Sales Through Service’ strategy for the Customer Service department.
  • Build a robust technical team to collaborate with Sales to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Create meaningful KPI’s against department strategy and report on progress.
  • Lead and motivate a team, ensuring business collaboration.
  • Set up regular team 1 to 1’s to update SMART targets for the team.
  • Ensure that training and development of your team is regularly addressed.
  • Monitor staffing levels against business forecasts and needs.

Background:

  • Experience within a manufacturing/technical service environment.
  • Experience of managing a team of between 10-20 minimum.
  • Experience of strategy planning.
  • IT literate (SAP or similar, Microsoft Office packages)
  • Highly organised and calm under pressure.
  • Passionate about customer service
