Role: Forecast Analyst/Demand Planner

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally renowned business as they make further developments in critical technology.

You will be in an important role where you will be responsible for managing and forecasting engineering and production output and requirements.

Ideally you will have an analytical mindset with strong mathematics and analyse skills.

 

Duties

  • Manage the Inventory Quality Management (IQM) model and related refresh processes. 

  • Measure and monitor the success in meeting the requirements of the IQM model. 

  • Develop enhancements to the management and maintenance of the IQM model.

  • Manage the forecast model and related refresh processes. 

  • Measure forecast accuracy, analyze the largest errors to understand the reasons for future preventiative actioning.

  • Develop enhancements to the management and maintenance of the forecast model.

  • Engage with the different operating companies and sales teams to understand their future demand.

  • Monitor the ongoing NPI projects and engineering changes to ensure they are progressed within agreed (SLAs).

  • Review the monthly OTTR and OTTC results, coordinate data collection and root cause analysis activities.

  • Cover for other activities within the planning function as and when required

Background

  • Production planning experience

  • Experience within an engineering environment

  • Comfortable with forecast data and forecast processes. 

  • Experience of using MRP and ERP systems

  • Knowledge of using an IT based planning system
