Job Title: Environmental Modelling and Simulation Engineer     

Location: Stevenage

Pay Range/details: Up to circa £50,000

Contract Type: Permanent

 

Our defence client is currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer with experience in modelling and simulation, who is wanting to make their next career move.

You’ll be employed in Stevenage, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with flexible hours.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work within this role, you must be a British National and be able to obtain SC or DV clearance.

This role will require 3-4 days per week on site on average.

 

Key Responsibilities – Environmental Modelling and Simulation Engineer

  • Developing RF Synthetic Scene Generation Toolset
  • Support a range of scene generation activities, from synthetic scene creation, through to validation via experimentation and field trials.
  • working with our Customers and Suppliers towards developing and integrating the next generation RF missile seekers
  • Provides teams with representative real-world data they need to undertake the product design, development, and acceptance process.

Qualifications & Requirements – Environmental Modelling and Simulation Engineer

  • Experience in Modelling and coding – ideally MATLAB Simulink
  • Experience in Data analysis and technical report writing
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and development of models in Simulink
  • Formal software or firmware development experience
  • Knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing desirable
  • Model verification, configuration control and model release processes
  • Continuous Integration and Testing
  • Experience with Machine Learning and AI desirable
  • Experience with CAD manipulation or material classification desirable
