Position: Spares Sales Assistant 


Responsible for assisting the Spares Sales Manager in the overall performance of the Spares Sales Department. 


Job Description: 


• Primarily responsible for the handling of customer enquiries and processing orders for spare parts. 

• Compilation of quotations, order acknowledgements and responding to any customers queries concerning spare parts or delivery. 

• Working as part of the Spares Sales Team you will be expected to liaise with customers on a one-to-one basis by email and telephone in a professional manner. 

• Understand basic engineering drawings and schedules for the purpose of identifying customer requirements. 

• Where necessary, will be required to estimate the selling prices of complete assemblies by reference to drawings. 

• Accurate data entry and pricing calculations using the relevant internal systems.

• To ensure that all relevant documentation is always completed accurately.

• To identify opportunities for process, productivity and quality improvements by highlighting issues to management. 

• To adhere to and always apply all workplace management and rules consistently. 

• To actively participate in improvement projects as required.

• Develop effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholder, customers and suppliers to ensure best outcomes for the client  


Person Specification: 


• Strong knowledge of MS office Suite – Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint. 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 

• Meticulous in approach to all work. 

• Ability to maintain close working relationships with both internal and external customers. 

• Able to manage own time and simultaneous duties effectively. 

• Ability to understand basic engineering drawings. 

• Knowledge of an MRP system
