Multi-skilled engineer – monday to friday days, 38 hours a week

  • Efficient maintenance, repair and improvement of our equipment, planned and non-planned activities to maximise our plant capability
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and high level fault finding duties in order to maintain and enhance world class, fully automated production, process and front line packaging machinery.
  • You will assist with plant optimisation and performance within a genuine culture of continuous improvement. Ensuring that production targets are achieved on time, you will work to stringent cost and quality standards.
  • You will work with the factory planned maintenance system both developing and completing planned maintenance routines and to constantly monitor the effectiveness of the system.
  • Responsible for delivering line OEE by providing proactive engineering support and applying your specialist knowledge in engineering maintenance
  • Undertake major equipment overhauls to ensure equipment performs to the required OEM standards, continuously improving and delivering the maintenance strategy
  • Ensure plant/equipment breakdowns are repaired in an efficient, timely and cost effective way. 
  • You will ensure that any necessary repairs are carried out effectively and efficiently and ensure that all the relevant people are kept informed with progress updates
  • Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with the preventative maintenance plan. Carry out scheduled PPM tasks and fault reporting.
  • Carry out  repairs and /or report any identified faults to ensure minimum impact to the production lines

 Is this you?

  • Apprentice trained with a recognised engineering qualification that provides expertise in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, NVQ Level 3 minimum
  • Demonstrable knowledge of key plant and equipment or specialist in an engineering discipline
  • Ability to plan, prioritise & organise designated workload
  • Able to work well with line teams on problem solving/process improvement work
  • Open on industry, including an armed forces background, fast paced manufacturing could suit
