Our client is an industry leading engineering and manufacturing organisation who require a Configuration Manager to be based at their Gloucestershire facility. The successful candidate will provide be responsible and accountable for leading the Configuration and Change Team to ensure all updates to drawings, documentation and data through the change process for all company equipment.


-Provide electronic access to all drawings, documentation and data while ensuring access controls is in accordance with company policy, current legislation and any necessary licenses.
-Oversee the management of company software, including updates and accessibility.
-Manage the Part Maintenance attributes in the ERP business system.
-Manage the maintenance of the Engineering and Manufacturing BoMs on the ERP business system as a result of approved change requests.
-Manage the configuration tools, as well as providing necessary access in accordance with business requirements.
-Manage the change process in relation to documentation from initiation through to implementation, including oversight of the TRB/ CIB meetings.
-Ensure all elements of Changes are complete to the required standard prior to change approval, to ensure risk and impact mitigation.
-Ensure the management of drawing and document change requests occurs in a timely fashion and in accordance with the company procedures.
-Provide change management support to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
-Lead regular review meetings as required to support tasks, using metrics and KPIs to measure the progress of the Configuration and Change Team.
-Operate as a member of the Configuration and Change Team as required by workload / experience etc.
-Support the planning of resources to successfully implement the business strategy.
-Work effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers and all stakeholders and uphold the company values at all times.
-Ensure that change management delivery promises are adhered to and adopt a pro-active approach to early identification of issues before they impact the business.
-Management of the members of the Configuration and Change Team, including team responsibilities and workload, as well as conduct regular Performance Development Reviews.
-Provide a Configuration Management point of contact for internal and external functional teams/ suppliers and ensure issues are escalated or reviewed by management if required.

Experience and Qualifications

-Experience in data management/configuration control in a manufacturing/engineering environment
-HNC/HND or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
