Compliance Team Leader

£35,000 - £40,000

Our client are a fleet management company based in Wiltshire, they are going through a period of prolonged growth and are seeking a team leader for their vehicle compliance team. The successful candidate will have experience of vehicle compliance and have an understanding oh O-licence requirements.

Responsibilities – Compliance Team Leader

  • Undertake regular employee performance reviews and appraisals, and manage follow up actions
  • The team will be taking compliance documents from the garage network and ensure it is uploaded to the system correctly.
  • Work with counterparts in other departments to promote effective cross-departmental communication
  • Act upon performance information provided, coaching and guiding staff members to improve knowledge and skill where required
  • The ability to manage short- and long-term projects
  • Act as the departments representative at wider team meetings
  • Be the initial contact for all internal customers regarding the function
  • Writing/reviewing/updating policies and procedures for internal governance & assurance
  • Providing internal operational compliance support where required
  • Provide insight, and proactively contribute to driving process efficiencies
  • Manage and maintain accurate KPI dashboards on behalf of Transport Governance & Assurance

Experience/Qualifications – Compliance team Leader

  • A good general level of education to a minimum of degree level or equivalent working experience / knowledge
  • Must be adept in the use of a PC, internet and email and able to grasp new software applications easily and quickly. Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to an intermediate level
  • Must be numerate and literate
  • Operator Licence Awareness Training – essential
  • Able to understand complex regulatory processes
  • Transport Managers Certificate of Professional Competence or willing to work towards gaining this qualification
  • A proven track record in team management with a minimum of two years’ experience managing a  diverse team
  • Experience working within vehicle/fleet compliance is essential
  • Evidenced understanding of O Licence legislation 
  • Knowledge of fleet management software is advantageous e.g. FleetCheck, Tranman etc.
