Staffline Recruitment are recruiting Refuse Collection Drivers in Yate to join a busy waste removal company working for the Council, on an immediate basis.

No experience is required as full training is provided along with excellent up-skilling opportunities.

Refuse Collection Drivers can earn from £680+ a week excluding overtime.

  • Standard: £17 p/h
  • Overtime: Up to £25.50 p/h

As a Refuse Collection Driver, you would work Monday to Friday 40 hours per week, starting around 0645 every day. Standard work hours are 8 per day minus the break.

The Refuse Collection Driver role:

Work involves a lot of reversing in narrow areas as loaders follow the refuse collection lorry and empty waste bins. Need to have good driving skills and knowledge of driving rules and regulations.

Furthermore, this role involves a lot of loading as the driver is responsible for loading recycling materials from various locations. Handball is a must.

Routes are based in Gloucester, any work done on Saturday, Bank Holiday or over 40 hrs a week is counted as overtime (£25.50).

Our perfect Refuse Collection Driver:

Experience behind the cat. C vehicle is highly recommended. We are looking for people that are willing to work and are reliable members of staff, with a can-do attitude. Need to hold a valid tacho card and CPC to be able to do the job. No more than 6 points on the licence.
