Buyer required by industry leading engineering company, which is busy and growing. The successful Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and selecting new suppliers and  managing existing supplier performance.

Main Duties: -Buyer

• Raising requests for quotation and purchase orders
• Managing stock levels and purchasing in line with manufacturing demands
• Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts and cost savings
• Managing lead times and monitoring supplier performance
• Meeting with suppliers to resolve performance issues
• Resolving invoice queries

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:- Buyer

• Ideally CIPs qualified or working towards
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A background in a similar role within a engineering or manufacturing or equivalent environment
• Analytical with an aptitude for figures
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
