Assembly Fitter

Job Title: Assembly Fitter 

Location:Staffordshire

Pay Range/details: £26,000 to £28,000 

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client who manufactures world leading equipment within the ground maintenance and turf care industry. Are looking for an experienced Assembly Fitter to join their growing team due to their rapid growth within the UK and overseas. 

Key Responsibilities – Assembly Fitter

• Sub assembly and assembly of professional machinery manufactured in house

• Highlight and assist in problem solving any quality issues and complete any paperwork as required

• Assist in overcoming production related problems with regards to quality and build

• Report any potential material shortages

• Participate in continuous improvement/ lean manufacturing activities

• Ensure production targets are achieved

• Complete predelivery inspection and associated paperwork on finished goods

• Final inspection and packaging of finished machines, accessories and spares

• 5S house keeping 

Qualifications & Requirements – Assembly Fitter

• Mechanical assembly experience with hydraulics and electrical

• Ability to use technical manuals, drawings and standard operating procedures

• Good understanding of machinery and knowledge of how to manage and maintain their continuous working

• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
