Job Title: Algorithm Development Team Lead

Location: Stevenage

Pay Range/details: Up to circa £65,000

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of Missile and Weapon Systems? An exciting opportunity awaits you in as the Algorithm Development Lead.

Our client, a pioneering force in defence, are building a team of talented engineers dedicated to crafting the next generation of onboard algorithms for guidance, control, and navigation.

You’ll be employed in Stevenage, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with flexible hours.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work within this role, you must be a British National and be able to obtain SC or DV clearance.

This role will require 3-4 days per week on site on average.

 

Key Responsibilities – Algorithm Development Team Lead

Qualifications & Requirements – Algorithm Development Team Lead

  • Leadership Excellence: Showcase strong leadership and communication skills, fostering a collaborative and open approach that inspires your team to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience Matters: Ideally, you have experience leading teams and a keen curiosity about innovative technologies and their applications.
  • Educational Background: Hold a degree or equivalent experience in a subject with mathematical content (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with areas such as Guidance, Navigation, Control Command and Control, Dynamic Systems, Sensors, and Autonomous Systems is beneficial.
  • Technical Expertise: Bring experience in algorithm development and associated tools, coupled with a background in algorithm research, product development, and support.
  • Project Opportunities: Note that we are actively recruiting for various projects, including FCAS/Tempest.
