It all started from rather basic beginnings. Our foundations began in 1998 where friends Ray, Alan and James had the ambition to open a reputable engineering recruitment business in Gloucestershire. Their dream has certainly escalated over the past 24 years, from two desks, a computer and a fax machine, to a team of over 100 staff covering multiple UK locations and a growing team based in Porto, Portugal. In 2018 Omega was acquired by Staffline Group which meant we could widen our South West presence and in-crease the market share in engineering and manufacturing, staying true to our roots, whilst opening new doors to sectors within the group.

The South West in particular is known for excellence in these divisions. You’re spoilt for choice finding the work of Isambard Kingdom Brunel across the region, known as "one of the most ingenious and prolific figures in engineering history,” with iconic feats such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge. There is also the Wotton-Under-Edge based company Renishaw who has an excellent reputation as one of the world’s leading engineering and scientific technology companies who currently have over 5,000 employees across 37 countries. Did you also know that Bristol is home to some of the UK’s largest aerospace businesses with international companies such as Airbus, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and Boeing operating in the area? The South West certainly loves to shout about our accolades and showcase them at events such as the Royal International Air Tattoo in Gloucestershire, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta and the many nearby museums that treasure how much technology has soared through the decades.

As an award-winning company that works on a local, national and international scale, we’re fortunate to have close links to London with Paddington Station just an hour and a half away, as well as Bristol and Birmingham Air-port a stone's throw away opening doors to international flight. With our headquarters in Stonehouse, we’re just a hop in the car to Stroud, Gloucester and the M5 which takes us to Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and beyond.
