Key Requirements:
As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring both quality from the product line as well as from suppliers through audits, quality reviews and delivery performance monitoring. You will work closely with internal departments as well as new and existing suppliers to manage supplier liability non-conformance's and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
You will be expected to manage the first article qualification process with the supplier (ISIR/PPAP), whilst also supporting the business with new supplier evaluations including disqualification and resourcing. Your involvement in the continuous improvement process will be fundamental to
improving product quality, reliability and reducing product cost.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Degree qualified in either an Engineering or Scientific discipline or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a demanding lean focused Quality Department.
* Experience gained within Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace, or Defence sector.
* In-depth knowledge of Supplier Auditing (ISO), First Article Qualification, Performance Measurements Methods and
Continuous Improvement.
* Good understanding of SPC, Six Sigma or other Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
